Climate Café events held in York and Hull

22nd September 2021

We recently joined forces with the University of Hull’s Energy and Environment Institute to host two Climate Café events on the theme of flood resilience. The first took place at City Screen in York in early September and the second was held at The Deep in Hull in mid-September.

The Climate Cafés were free to attend and open to anyone with an interest in flood resilience and climate change. We had a great line-up of guest speakers for each event, who talked about the increasing risk of flooding and the significant disruption and damage it can cause, as well as highlighting the role that property flood resilience measures can play in minimising the risk of homes and businesses flooding.

We're incredibly grateful to all our speakers and everyone who made time to come along and learn more about property flood resilience. It was fantastic to round off the project with some face-to-face engagement events, and the Hull event in particular was very well attended.
